CLOSE YOUR EYES TO SEE
A collaborative multimedia project with the Cree elders of Nemaska. They closed their eyes to remember life before the construction of the hydroelectric dams. I photographed. They opened their eyes to share nostalgic stories from their youthful days. I filmed.

Once the elders shared their inspiring stories, I combined their voices to tell the story of a an entire generation. Once I was satisfied with the story and how it unfolded, I explored the community to film modern life by using an old Super 8 film camera to make the images look like archives from a distant life.
